Reluctance surrounding Covid jab remains prevalent in SA

From myths related to the speed at which Covid-19 vaccines were developed, to efficacy and safety, vaccine hesitancy has been a major contributor to South Africa remaining in the throes of the pandemic.

Vaccine hesitancy is described by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a delay in acceptance or the refusal of vaccines, despite their availability, based on  factors such as complacency, convenience, and confidence. 

While the vaccination debate has long been a part of modern society, the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 has made the choice of vaccination a hotly debated topic.
