Betting: Value bets for AFCON Quarter-finals (Day 2)

A fairy tale story for Gambia in this Africa Cup of Nations.

The relatively unknown side are yet to lose at this tournament picking wins over Tunisia and Mauritania in their group. They have scored in each of their group stage matches and are confident on the break.

This match is a huge test for Guinea. The west Africans have shown quality at times and should have won Senegal when they met Africa’s second-best side. However Guinea have not scored too many goals in this tournament and that will be an issue in these cut throat rounds.

A low-scoring affair seeing under 1.5 first half goals @ 1.22 odds.

The tiny island made history with their win over Ghana and their qualification in third place in a supposed group of death. But it only gets worse, as up next is the hosts and one of the high-flying sides at this tournament.

Top scorer Vincent Aboubakar would see this as a chance to add to his tally but they would know that any form of complacency would cost them in this encounter. So far Cameroon have done so little wrong and it’s difficult to see them getting knocked out at this stage to the heavy underdogs.

The odds for a Cameroon win has no value, so let’s bank on over 2.5 yellow cards @ 1.3 odds.
