APRC EXECUTIVE HEADS FOR BARRA TO CONVEY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILIES OF BOAT DISASTER VICTIMS.
The Gambia’s Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and Construction (APRC) Party headed by the interim leader Hon. Fabakary Tombong Jatta are traveling to Barra, North Bank to convey condolences with the bereaved families of last week’s boat tragedy.
The delegation is expected to convey a solemn message to the families of those who lost their relatives in the boat disaster amongst other things, express compassion and assistance in kind to the relatives in Barra.
It could be recalled, 64 migrants, mainly youths from the Gambia mainly North Bank, died on their way to Spain when their boat capsized near the Mauritanian coast.
The survivors were repatriated back but 64 are already confirmed dead, 30 others are still missing.
